I'm just now seeing it, but I got it at some point yesterday.

So this is a way for us to have a more private conversation. Not secret, by any means, but not broadcast to the world.

What are you teaching nowadays?

We are on home assignment right now, since our twins graduated in '22. Our hope is to go back to Cameroon sometime in May, and I'll be teaching English (and maybe some other things, like Bible and hopefully drama) again during the next school year.

Well, if you ever have anyone that wants to Beta read, I've got lots of stuff. Are you enjoying being on Substack?

Yes, it's been good so far, though it has the potential to become overwhelming. Currently, I only follow about six people (including you), but I'm getting 3 - 5 posts to read every day. I don't always get to them all, so I've hesitated to go searching for other things that are available on here. Undoubtedly there is some good material, but I don't want to follow people and then end up never reading them because I don't have the time. Sad dilemma. :-)

How are you and your family? Where are you all these days?

I think you have it backwards. I think that the way Substack works best is to just sign up for anything that looks even remotely interesting, skim, and then settle later. People will follow you back, so that's good too.

We are in South Texas... feel free to come by and see us :) All of our kids are married, and we have 23 born grandchildren so far. We live on and own a 30 acre parcel with two of my sons. I'm semi retired, writing on FB, preaching some, publishing some indie.

If we ever head out west (which is a possibility - two of our boys are posted in California and we've talked about taking a road trip out there before we head back), we'll definitely look you all up!

By the way, did you see that the third of my cyborg detective stories is published on Amazon? If I recall, you helped review the first two, so maybe you want to check out the third?
