All too often sermons about those men and women seem to focus almost exclusively on their flaws. Their sins. Their lack of faith. Sometimes to the extent that it seems that the sermoniser thinks that Hebrews should have been written in the other direction. That those old men and women of the faith would do well to imitate the example of modern Christians.
