So, Substack has attacked Sci-Friday (Warrior Wednesday, Sword Saturday, Thorny Thursday, etc). No idea if they did so on purpose, but the attack was severe. As the link below describes, the idea of tagging people in notes to let them know of your Sci-Friday posts was thrown into the Spam Trash can.
So I’m trying a workaround: My Sci-Friday review post. The idea is that you send me your link, and I post it. My goal is that my post will be informative, with a good summary of what is posted, categories, etc. But so far I have just rescued some links from my feed, and almost no one sends it to me on purpose.
But this last week I asked for people to like and restack the post, and that worked pretty well. The post was liked and restacked a bit, and more people send me things intentionally.
So we persevere. If you like the idea of Science Fiction (and regular Science) posts on Substack, and forming a community around them, then this is one way to go about it. So I would like to request that:
If you have another idea, let me know.
If you like the review post, then like, restack, and… click on the links and make comments on peoples posts that you saw them on the Sci-Friday review post.
If you have suggestions, let me know.

Sci-Friday Review September 2, 2025
Warning! Notifications on notes have been turned off by Substack, so Sci-Friday notes no longer come to me! This isn’t just me, and it isn’t just Sci-Friday. See the explanation here:
