Well, I'm glad she didn't just jump into this headlong, that she actually really had to consider what she is doing. I'm glad she's giving her daughter some say in what they will do. Obviously, they are going to agree (and that's not much of a spoiler, after all if they don't it will be a very short story. 😆)
And their origin planet has bows as well. As intricate as the Liaden bows? (You don't have to answer that.)
Well, if she jumped into it headlong that would sort of kill a lot of the story tension. Spoiler alert: by the end of the story the mother is still going, "should I have taken this job?"
Now, as to 'bows as well', you mean 'as well as Liaden', or 'as well as Libertas'? Cause Libertas doesn't have bows.
Not sure how to compare the two, Epehemera and Liaden. Ephemera does have very specific and very 'regulated' bows for pretty much every occasion. They are more matter of fact than Liaden, IMO. The Liaden ones always seem to me to be all mysterious and 'you can get it wrong so easily' kind of thing. These are meant to be funner and more communicative.
