Nice pictures of the utilitarian halls, etc.

How can you invite someone to lunch and not know it? Is he really that low on social skills? I hope they did get to eat together. And it wasn't the case like I've been dealing with lately where I'm having a private conversation with a member of my family, and someone within hearing range decides to butt in and act like he's the one being talked to.

So, Eudoria gets to stand in all the lines, while Illoia is always whisked right to the front. And she hasn't caught on yet?

Well, my goal in the book overall is to make him very socially clueless. When you get to the end of the story, you’ll find out why, but I am perfectly open to changing the various clues that signal that. My goal here is to merely make him, as if he grew up outside of a society where he could’ve learned all of the various social clues.

She has her work cut out for her, doesn't she? That type of behavior won't be overlooked among the types of people the Generals hang out with.
