I would add a third category. Those who don't like opera because they think it's bad but know nothing about it or have only been exposed to bad opera. So a policy of education, possibly influence, would be in order. They could end up going either way, but now it would be an informed decision.

I agree with your argument about policy basics.

Yes. I include those among the ‘don’t like opera’ crowd… which obviously has several subcategories. The child who was dragged to the opera time out of mind by his parent, vs the child who has never seen opera except for short flashes in some mystery.

Natalism is going to have the same dynamic. Many who don't want children saw only the horror in theor own family or others, or heard someone onfluential complain about all the ills. The cure is not to incent, but to teach, hopefully to the point of developing a new worldview. Government is terrible at this and should be excluded from the discussion beyond not making the situation worse.

Did you read my post on the subject?

It looks familiar as I scan it again. Essentially, get government out of the way and change culture from the inside. It is a spiritual issue primarily, compounded by deliberate sabotage by government.

Yes. There are a lot of ‘getting the government out of the way’ that needs doing, in ways that are far, far past the overton window.

I am currently writing a fiction piece (a very, very long fiction piece) about a near future where they are trying to handle the demographic crash. It also involves time travel :)

You don't like Opera? I can't believe we are friends when you talk like that. 🤣 It's okay. I can't stand rap, so maybe we can be friends after all.

As much as I'd love to have adopted every child we fostered, it didn't happen. We were lucky to get the two we did. My wife is medically unable to have children, and I don't have any of my own blood.

I have never understood why people who can children at the drop of a hat want to kill them all, nor have I understood why it's so hard for a good Christian couple to adopt as many children as they want.

Anymore, Christians are being denied fosterships because they won't support the LGBT+pedo crowd.

I can foresee a time when our population will drop so far that our civilization simply implodes.

Those who don't want children should have no say in how children are raised. But even that doesn't stop them. They just start preaching the failed religion of communism and family depopulation.

Well, I did say that Bugs Bunny in the Barber of Seville was the best of entertainment :)

And I do love classical music of several types. And hate rap and rock as well.

Now, as to Christians adopting, you should remember both that the state makes it horribly expensive, and that they have a big list of politically correct things that you have to agree to.
