It’s interesting that before reading this article, I never associated “for better or for worse” with the actual person. Instead, I always associated that phrase with the material circumstances of their lives together. But that is covered in the phrase “for richer or for poorer.” How wise it is to consider the possibility of marrying someone who could very well go down in temperament or drive. Thank you for illuminating this point. A covenant taken before God is not negated simply because the other person simply has a downward spiral in terms of their mood or conduct. You are together in one flesh with your spouse for life!
