It has actually come to the place that when a child is naturally "aborted" (first definition), we don't even use that word any longer because it has been hijacked (same as many other perfectly good words that we "cannot" use any longer because the meaning has changed - sadly). So, instead of saying "the baby was aborted", we say, "she lost the baby".

I love it when people are clear and direct in their language... and it's depressing how rare these attributes are in political/cultural writing these days.
